About this whole stock market thing.
See, I always thought that for an American, the Chinese market losing 9 percent of its value is supposed to be a good thing. I'm supposed to cheer when Chinese businessmen are throwing themselves off the roof of their skyscrapers. When your enemy loses, you gain-you know- that sort of thing.
So how come the American stock market does not gain 500 points instead of losing 500 points? WTF? I just don't get that.
Oh and please, spare me that whole globalization, interconnected, world is flat, global economy thing. I'm old fashioned, you know. A simple man. I want Americans to win, and every one else to bend down on their knees and acknowledge that fact. That is the order of things.
I worked on my income tax last night. As I was finishing up my various schedules for the investments that I have finally been able to make-freed of the shackles of a spendthrift, ne'er do well, fat pig of an ex wife-I was saying to my self, "Boy is this great. Pretty soon the market will be over 13,000 and my mutual funds are really starting to take off. Good thing, I've got that monthly investment plan in place! I'm so happy I think I'll have another beer."
So imagine my surprise when I wake up this morning, slightly hung over, stumbling out of the bedroom, make the coffee, and sit down at the computer to
Yes, yes, I know its never a loss if you don't sell and the market always rebounds. This is a : a) correction b)a corrective consolidation or c) the beginning of a world wide recession and good time to invest in real estate. Pick one. There will be a test at the end of week.
Gordon Gekko: Where the hell are you? I am losing MILLIONS! You got me into this company and sure as hell better get me out or the only job you'll have on the Street is SWEEPING IT! You hear me, Fox?
Bud Fox: You once told me, don't get emotional about stock. Don't! The bid is 16 1/2 and going down. As your broker, I advise you to take it.
Gordon Gekko: Yeah. Well you TAKE IT!
Gordon Gekko: *Right in the ass you fucking scumbag cocksucker!*
Bud Fox: It's two minutes to closing, Gordon. What do you want to do? Decide.
Just another ducky day in the neighborhood..................
